Week of Feb. 24th

I am sending home a "CIRCLE" cut out on card stock in Thursday folders. Please decorate it any way that you would like for our classroom fish! Make it as fancy as you r would like!  It is due back on Friday, March 7th!

What we are learning this week:
Reading and Writing-I can record information about an ocean animal. 
I can organize my research using text features.

Spelling-I can spell -ast and -ame word family words.

Math-I can identify the hands on an analog clock.
I can tell time to the hour and half hour on an analog clock.

Science-I can identify the life cycle of an ocean animal.

Week of Feb. 10th

Happy Wednesday!!  Man has this weather been crazy or what???

Since we have started our Ocean animal research this week; Guided Reading will be a little slower coming home.  We are doing our research in our Guided Reading and Writing Groups for the next couple of weeks. If your child forgets their books, no worries for the next few week because we are definitely reading daily here at school!  :o)

Anyone that want to come to the Valentine’s Party on Friday is more than welcome to! You do not have to send a bag or box for your child’s Valentines.  We are making them here at school Friday morning.
