Week of January 30th

I hope everyone is having a GREAT week!  If you have any toy cars that you would like to donate for one of our math activities, that would be greatly appreciated.  Please send them tomorrow.  I have told the students if they bring a box of tissue or hand santizer, they can have their shoes off for the day!  We are out of both! 

What we are Learning:
Reading-Adjusting Comprehension through Mental Images
Writing-Poetry with rhythm and/or rhyme
Spelling-sell, fell, shell, chest, west, best, up, so, by, be
Challenge Words-contest, smelly, dime, freedom, layers
Math-Measuring Length using non-standard units such as paperclips, markers, etc
Math Homework-Unit 5; pages 7, 9, 11, 12, 13
Science-Layers of the Ocean

Week of January 23rd

I am still working on Math assessments and Reading assessments this week.  They should be coming to a close in the next week.  We are need of kleenex and hand sanitizer.  Please send back your child's report card evelope signed. Thanks so much!  Have a great week!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

This week is CogAT testing, Cognitive Abilities Test. Your child will be taking 2 tests daily. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each test takes about an hour to complete.  A letter went home last Friday with more information. If you have any further questions feel free to email me or Mrs. Kidd, testing coordinator @ kiddk@friscoisd.org.

Week of January 2nd

Welcome Back!  I hope everyone had a wonderful and exciting holiday.  And now I hope you and your child are ready to get back into the swing of things.  Tutoring starts up again this week.  I will be doing mid-year assessments until the end of January.  If I have concerns, I will be contacting parents via email or by phone.
